RACIAL SUPERIORITY/SUPREMACY

By | January 13, 2012

The self- righteous, arrogant sense of “rightness” (superiority) to address any and all topics outside of your experience and/or understanding (comprehension) with AUTHORITY! The “Massa” and “Miss. Ann” profile projection of knowing what’s best for the “niggas” on the plantation – protective paternalism, as a Right.

This category I must admit is my favorite. Racial superiority and supremacy is the absence of any humility in the face of ignorance. Racial superiority and supremacy need no justification for accuracy or sensitivity to consequences. Racial supremacy and superiority are entitled positions which trump any requirement for reality. They are the total arrogant presumed right to examine, question, criticize, change and destroy because “they” are supremely “WHITE.”

Dear Mr. Chris Matthews,

I often watch “Hardball” and have become favorably impressed with your analysis of political events. I was however dismayed with your comments on Barack Obama’s involvement/comments on the Henry Louis Gates incident as “unnecessary,” possibly politically damaging and as only a “local event.” I’d like to suggest to you that there are TWO Americas and for Black America he needed to become involved as Racial Profiling for our community is “Domestic Terrorism” and is followed as closely by us as “America” does a single attempted bombing of an airliner.

Our community voted for Barack Obama, not just because he was Black, but because we hoped that he would address our “American” issues as well as the general publics. Many of us doubted that at first and did not support him since he had been raised by a white family, in Hawaii, where the only Black population is the military. We feared that he did not get the stories and lessons that we all had been raised with and therefore not “sensitive” to what growing up “Black” in America means. He owed “us” a reaction to our “terrorism” as much as he owed a reaction for the plane bombing incident. When his presidency is all over he, his wife and his two girls will be returning to the Black community.

I have enclosed two letters that I have written trying to “educate” people to the fact that there is more than one set of eyes and views, and perspectives on America. I hope these two examples will more clearly express what I am suggesting to you. Please be careful when you try to “generalize” from your perspective and can’t adequately do so. You probably didn’t grow up bicultural, most of us had to.

Sincerely,
